Franchisors are the driving force of the Jim's system.
Franchisors are responsible for recruiting, training and supporting franchisees. More importantly, they have experienced the work at 'grass roots' level and so can provide the practical and moral support so necessary to someone starting their own business. In many cases, the Regional Franchisor operates their own franchise as they develop their region.
Regional Franchisors must provide leadership and a strong example of good work ethics, whilst recognizing that franchisees are, in themselves, customers. It is a demanding role that combines practical ability with a high level of personal and business management skills. A Franchisor will be responsible for the wellbeing of dozens of people and their families; therefore one of the key attributes is a willingness to help others, get actively involved, and listen to the franchisees.
Over the years, the Jim's Group has developed a unique and highly sophisticated computer system designed specifically to manage the franchise system. The Franchise Management System (FMS) can be accessed by Regional Franchisors from their home or office based computer allowing them to run a variety of reports, monitor a franchisee's progress, and show an overview of their region.
Before becoming a Regional Franchisor, applicants must attend and pass a 4 day course at Jim's Melbourne Head Office. Topics include franchisee sales and selection, dispute resolution, computer skills, development of a business plan, communication skills, managing cash flow, marketing, time management, customer service, Jim's Group core values, etc.
Successful Franchisors enjoy excellent financial rewards with lifestyle benefits and personal satisfaction. Income is derived from franchise sales, monthly franchisee fees, as well as their own franchise where applicable.
